Mini Putt Course in the Diner
The script called for a complicated Rube Goldberg-type putting course inside the diner. I don't normally like to put this much animation in a storyboard but this is one of those kinds of scenes where the boards really needed to beat out the timing and the action to help the layout and animation departments or it wouldn't quite work.
Oscar & Emma's Parking Commercial (animatic vs. final)
This is one of my favourite fantasy sequences from the show. The idea was to create a cheap local TV commercial, similar to those fun car dealership or furniture store commercials you might see on late night TV.
To heighten the cheap amateur quality I tried to give it an unprofessional glitchy green-screen look and use cam moves with no eases.
Fantasy sequences are often a good opportunity to deviate from established style so I used license-free car lot photo backgrounds. It saved having to make a whole bunch of new artwork and it also helped to emphasize the crappy green screen look I was going for.

As part of a pitch proposal for a Netflix show, Shadowmachine asked me to storyboard and create an animatic for the title sequence.
